Using this Website

This website has been carefully designed for multiple uses, such as how to buy and get the most out of The Purity War book, study guide and personal accountability program. It also will direct you to information on how to host or attend a Winning the Purity War seminar and even how to witness and support the Purity War effort around the world. You might want to start by watching the two-minute promo video of The Purity War: A Biblical Guide to Living in an Immoral World. Reading the book

The first section of this book contains 43 very short chapters. These are laid out in easy-to-identify sections:

• Introduction —  presenting a pastoral encouragement to parents, pastors and other understandably sensitive people about this book. It moves on to a reminder of our call to be Ambassadors of Purity in our homes, our churches and in our communities.
• Part One: The Need — focusing on the history of immorality and the need for personal purity in an immoral world. It also addresses the fallacy of the “new morality” — the old immorality with a new name.
• Part Two: God’s Design — focusing on God’s design for human sexuality as an expression of His oneness. This forms the basis of our understanding of the attacks fueled by the devil, the flesh and the world’s value system.
• Part Three: Man’s Abuses — focusing on man’s abuses of God’s design for human sexuality and the steps down to the devastating results of moral failure.
• Part Four: The Way of Escape — focusing on how to guard our minds, bodies and each other as the lines of defense in the daily battle with immorality.
• Part Five: The Way Back — focusing on the importance of admitting, confessing and turning from immorality and the results of restoration. It then addresses how to start a revival of purity that lasts for generations.
• This is followed by a  detailed Study Guide contained in the book itself.

Using the Study Guide

The Purity War is really two books in one. The study guide contains an eight part Discussion Guide for personal reflection or group discussion. These reading assignments and discussion questions can be easily adjusted to any number of settings.

Using the Personal Accountability Program

This section of The Purity War contains eighteen Accountability Worksheets on a variety of subjects related to spiritual maturity. These can be used in any order. Additionally, to those of you who have a copy of the book, we have even given you permission to make a few copies.

Using the Appendix and Helps

In the Appendix of The Purity War you will find…

• Important end notes that elaborate on the point made in the book.
• A carefully submitted list of “Suggested Reading on Moral Purity and Biblical Sexuality.”
• A detailed “Scripture Index” for the hundreds of verses used in this book.
• An easy-to-use “Subject Index” with extensive cross-references
• A “Foreign Word Index” listing all the Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin and Greek words used in the book and transliterated for easy reading.

Starting a “Winning the Purity War” Small Group

This battle is best won with the help and encouragement of other fellow Ambassadors of Purity. Instructions for leading a discussion group and a personal accountability group are found in the Study Guide included in The Purity War: A Biblical Guide to Living in an Immoral World.
